Irene Briant

Irene Briant works across many artistic platforms - from sculptural assemblage, to her recent pursuit in photography. Irene is not unaccustomed to exploring and honing new and varied approaches to her art making. The common thread to her evolving work is her delicate power of observation. As a finder or borrower of things, Irene is able to conduct an almost alchemical association between these objects and ideas. Her investigation into identity, place and time, paired with found objects and nostalgic mementos are masterfully sorted and arranged to create perfect, chaotically patterned artworks that are intriguing and unpredictable.
