This new series is based around some of my favourite snapshots from celebrations I have attended over the years.Looking at the photos on a daily basis ( they sit as part of a 500 strong photomontage in my home) I easily slip back into the event and tend to grin or grimace depending on whatI remember. I guess it is one thing that we all have in common-the desire to at times let our hair down, have a drink, forget our troubles and just party. Cheers

Arts Practice
My arts practice is painting based and utilises high gloss enamel and aerosol paints rendered on aluminium as the primary media for production of work. Over the last few years I have explored aspects of contemporary culture, focusing on sex, media, socialisation, entertainment and vice. Most paintings revolve around the human figure, located in the urban environment. I have exhibited as a solo artist and in group shows regularly in Tasmania and recently interstate and overseas.

Aside from painting I also have a strong interest in the moving image and sound, producing video work and performing in a variety of music ensembles where time permits. I am currently completing my Master of Fine Art at UTAS after gaining a B.F.A with First Class Honours in 2006. I am involved in a number of arts related activities including being a board member of Inflight A.R.I and producing and presenting Hobart’s only radio show dedicated to the Fine Arts on Edge Radio.
