ISADORA DUNCAN is credited with founding modern dance. Mythology has it her last words were “My friends, I go to glory!” As she drove away in her brand new Bugatti, her long flowing scarf got caught up in one of the rear wheels & she was instantly decapitated. More likely she was a passenger in an Amilcar driven by an attractive young mechanic nick-named Bugatti, & what she said was “ My friends, I go to love!” In any case Isadora’s legacy (apart from modern dance) is a reminder to exercise caution when wearing flowing scarves, under any circumstances.
