HENRY FORD was a complex man. He brought mass-production to the United States & put America on wheels with the Model T, but very nearly went into watchmaking instead (“any colour bezel so long as it’s black). He liked to shock guests at his dinner parties by serving them tofu & soy milk. He even made a car body from soy beans but a goat ate it. He sent a ship full of pacifists to Europe to plead for an end to the Great War, & bought a Newspaper the “Dearborn Independent” to express his anti- Semitic ideas, inspiring a young Adolf Hitler with his words.
