Unnatural Landscapes: Trompe l'oeil with moss and mud
1 June to 31 July 2009
bettgallery@raincheck
392 Elizabeth Street, North Hobart |
The idea for this body of work came from viewing moss and rock formations in the Tasmanian bush that resembled landscapes in miniature form which inspired me to use these natural materials to produce my own landscapes indoors for the purpose of photographing and video productions of scenes that vary from moonscapes to rivers, forests and mountains. This work represents the first stage of this process, the pristine landscapes are prior to the road, railways and urban development that it will be subjected to in future work.
