Tasmanian landscape
artists have attracted significant attention in recent years. Water
Music, by the artist Tim Burns, provides an insight into this national
acclaim. Burns initially trained as a musician and these works, spanning
15 years, reveal his continual exploration of the natural environment
and his affinity with music. Since 1981 Burns has had a regular
exhibition program in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart and is now recognised
nationally for his approach to re-defining the Tasmanian landscape.
