Fast rising artist Nicholas
Blowers has recently moved from Sydney to Hobart, Tasmania; a place of
remarkable flora and fauna that will no doubt strongly influence his paintings
in the future. Wife Trudy Blowers has taken on a management role at the
Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in Hobart. The move was specifically planned to
allow more of their time to be devoted to the arts.
After a strong 2006 and 2007
with sell out exhibitions at Dickersons Galleries in both Sydney and Melbourne,
Nicholas Blowers looks set for another big year ahead.
Congratulations to Nicholas whose portrait of Charles Blackman has been selected
as one of only thirty six portraits for the prestigious Doug Moran Portrait
Prize. |
